Terms and Conditions

Payment

We accept the following methods:

Terminal transactions in store are via EVO Payments. All credit/debit cardholders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to or does not, for any reason, authorise payment to us, we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery.

Online transactions are via EVO Payment Gateway and are 3D secure, PCI Compliant and SSL Certified.

All of our prices are inclusive of VAT at 20%.

Deposit

Made to order items ordered in store are subject to a 30% deposit payable at time of purchase.

The balance will be required once your item(s) have arrived in with us and we have agreed a delivery date.

Please note that the balance must be paid prior to delivery.

Balances can be paid by BACS, by card in store or by card over the telephone.

Measurements & Access

Please measure carefully before ordering to ensure that the product you have ordered will both gain access into your home and fit into the room of choice. Consider doorways, stairways and landings and corners.

Please note that it is your responsibility to advise us in writing at time of ordering any access difficulty that may be encountered. Any additional costs associated with delivery for example window or door removal is not the responsibility of Meyer & Marsh. Any concerns regarding access must be raised by you at point of sale.

We operate a complimentary measuring service within 25 miles of our store, so if you have any worries about furniture entering your home please let us know.

On the day of delivery, please ensure that access to your property is clear and free from any obstacle. Our drivers are skilled at carrying large and heavy pieces of furniture but require a clear passage from our vehicle to the house and into the room where the item(s) are being placed. Light fitting, pictures, mirrors etc must be removed prior to delivery if they are potential obstructions. Our drivers reserve the right to non-delivery of your items if access is unsafe or has not been cleared.

Delivery

Once your furniture has arrived in with us, we will contact you to arrange a delivery date. Please note that we provide you with a slot time, for example 1pm-5pm in order to allow for any time discrepancies en route. We can call you once on the way if required.

Collecting your furniture

Please arrange a collection date with the store either by phone or email, allowing us 48 hours notice if possible, so that we can arrange for your order to be ready in store and we can help you to load if necessary. Made to order items will be boxed and wrapped in their original packaging unless specifically arranged otherwise. You must check your item(s) and report any issues within 24 hours of collection. Clearance and/or ex-display items must be inspected by you immediately prior to collection. You will be required to sign a collection note stating that you are satisfied that the item(s) is in acceptable condition before it leaves the store and before we wrap it.

No claims relating to damages or associated transport issues will be accepted once the item has left our premises.

A Click and Collect option is available on online purchases.

Lead Time

For items in stock, we aim to ship out within 2-4 working days.

Many of our items are made to order for you, meaning approximately 4-20 weeks delivery time (please see individual product for a more accurate guide). We try to indicate as best as possible on our site how long a particular item will take to make and deliver, but if you have specific requirements please contact us by phone or email and we will do our very best to advise you in more detail.

We always provide delivery and lead times in good faith but cannot be held responsible for any direct or indirect loss due to any reasonable delay or delays due to unforeseen circumstances outside of our reasonable control. We provide lead times in good faith at point of order but cannot be held responsible for any delays which are out of our, nor our suppliers' control.

Returns & Cancellations

Online or Telephone Orders (excludes bespoke items)You have the right to cancel your order within 7 working days without charge; the only liability being for any return carriage costs which must be via courier with proof of posting. Please notify us at sales@meyerandmarsh.co.uk quoting your enclosed order reference if you wish to return items. We require a record of your cancellation in writing. We are unable to accept cancellation requests via telephone.

You must return the item(s) in the same condition as received and in the original packaging. Once the items have been returned they will be inspected by our warehouse team. Once received and the condition of the return has been verified you will receive your refund within 14 days of the item being received by us. Please note that the refund will include original delivery costs if all items are returned, but if you are only returning part of the order, then we will not repay any of the delivery service. If you require us to collect the goods we reserve the right to make a charge to cover this.

Goods must be returned by courier to Meyer & Marsh, The Hop Pocket, Bishops Frome, Herefordshire WR6 5BT (please note we are closed on a Mondays, except Bank Holidays and during November & December). You must notify us in writing of any item being returned prior to them arriving with us.

Returns Policy for instore purchases

If for any reason your new item is unwanted, we are happy to provide store vouchers to the value of that item, minus any delivery charges incurred by Meyer & Marsh if applicable. You must return the item at your own cost, within 14 days of purchase, in the original packaging.

7 day no-quibble money back guarantee (on non made to order goods, or goods purchased online)

We are confident that you will be delighted with your purchase.

However for your peace of mind, in the unlikely event that you should wish to return an item to us, if you ordered online we are pleased to offer a 7 day money back guarantee, commencing the day after delivery.

Non Returnable Goods

Made-to-order items have been made and ordered to your specification and as such we are unable to offer any refunds, exchanges or order amendments after the order has begun production.

Faulty items

Exchanges or repairs will be given on any damaged items received; any incorrect item will be exchanged by us as quickly as possible.

Price Match Promise

We aim to be as competitive as possible on all prices whilst offering a fantastic service and shopping environment. In the unlikely event that you find the same new item at a lower price, we welcome the opportunity to match that price. This must be on an identical basis and be of comparable conditions such as delivery charges, service and guarantee.

These terms do not affect your statutory rights.

Guarantee

We give a manufacturer’s structural guarantee all sofa frames for 10 years. This guarantee does not cover any defect, fault or damage which arises through general wear and tear or misuse (misuse includes any failure to care for the goods in accordance with any care advice we give you.) This guarantee applies to Mainland U.K. only. Please note this guarantee does not affect your statutory rights. The guarantee refers to a repair only.

Sofas, chairs and upholstered pieces

Our 10 Year Frame Guarantee covers you for:-

Manufacturing defects on the structural frame, webbing and springs.

Our 2 Year General Guarantee covers you for:-

Manufacturing defects on any seat, back or scatter interior, any other component or part, including fabric, leather, feet or recliner mechanisms.

Our Guarantee does not cover you for:-

Any defect, fault or damage which arises through general wear and tear, accidents or misuse. Misuse includes any failure to care for the goods in accordance with any care and maintenance advice we give you. This includes natural settlement or flattening of interior cushions.

Dining & Occasional

Our 10 Year Frame Guarantee covers you for:-

Manufacturing defects on the structural frame.

Our 2 Year General Guarantee covers you for:-

Manufacturing defects on any other component or part, including drawers, handles, runners, extension mechanisms.

Our Guarantee does not cover you for:-

Any defect, fault or damage which arises through general wear and tear, accidents or misuse. Misuse includes any failure to care for the goods in accordance with any care advice we give you. This includes spillages, stains, scratches or abrasions.

Accessories

Our 1 Year General Guarantee covers you for:-

Any manufacturing defect

Our Guarantee does not cover you for:-

Any defect, fault or damage which arises through general wear and tear, accidents or misuse.

Looking after your furniture & your duty of care

We will give you advice on how to look after your furniture when you purchase your item in store and supply a detailed care guide when we deliver your goods. It is crucial that you follow our care advice as this will prolong the life of your furniture and maintain its appearance accordingly. Failure to follow our care guides may result in your furniture wearing more quickly and may be detrimental to its appearance or longevity. We cannot be held responsible for issues arising with items that have not received adequate or correct care or maintenance and our guarantee does not cover such items nor general wear and tear.

Clean & Care Kits

We supply care kits for all of our furniture ranges, and these can be also be purchased in store or online.

Care Plan & Accidental Damage Cover

Our Guarantee gives you peace of mind and covers you should any manufacturing issue arise. To make sure you are fully protected for any accidental damage (including pet or child mishaps!) please ask us about our 5 Year Care Plan. Your new furniture will be delivered containing detailed care instructions. Our top tip - please make sure you follow our guidance – it will keep your furniture looking tip top and prolong its life.

Indemnity

You agree fully to indemnify, defend and hold us, and our officers, directors, employees, agents and suppliers, harmless immediately on demand, from and against all claims, liability, damages, losses, costs and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of any breach of the Conditions by you or any other liabilities arising out of your use of this Website, or the use by any other person accessing the Website using your shopping account and/or your Personal Information.
